Employee BBQ

Today we are setting up for our annual employee BBQ.  We like to treat the crew to at least one day where we all punch out a little early and enjoy a cookout and social time here at the shop.

The guys and gals from the Heritage GC take turns hosting and will be over as well this year for a little different fare than in years past.  Typically we cook burgers, dogs and brauts but this year we divided up cooking responsibilities and are serving some actual BBQ!

Pulled pork, Pork Back ribs, and Brisket are on the menu today and it will be a welcome change from the usual.  A few of us here enjoy tinkering with smokers at home and volunteered our services (however valuable that may be) in preparing the food this year.

It may seem like a small thing, but it really seems to lift spirits this time of year and hopefully shows our appreciation of the work our seasonal staff do each season.

Upcoming Events

For the last few years Legacy Ridge and the Heritage GC have hosted CGA and USGA events.  This year will be no different with Legacy Ridge hosting the CGA Four-Ball on May 13-15th, and the Heritage hosting the ASGCA that same weekend with a US Open Local Qualifier the following Monday, May 16th.

July 9th and 10th the Westminster City Championship will be held at Leagcy Ridge and Heritage GC respectively.  The following week the Colorado Open Qualifiers will be held at Legacy Ridge July 14th and 18th.

On July 26th, Legacy Ridge will welcome the Dave Askins Two-Player Team Championship, which is a CJGA event held every year.  We enjoy hosting events like this and do our best to showcase both facilities during them.

Prior to these events, we may change our mowing schedule slightly so that we can mow when the turf is driest.  This means you may encounter mowers on the course throughout your round, so please keep an eye out for our crew.  Unfortunately this isn't easy for players or crew members alike, as it can be a distraction and it will take a lot longer than when we mow first thing in the morning.

Typically when we have to mow around our guests, we start on #18 and work backwards towards #1.  This should keep disruption to a minimum as you will only see a given mower once.  When you encounter a crew member, they will acknowledge that they see you and move out of the line of play as best they can.  Thank you for your cooperation.
